Trans* Families

TRANS* – FAMILIES – is our  group for parents/carers  who have children (u-18 yrs.) – who identify as Trans* or who are questioning their gender identity.

Our TRANS* FAMILIES  group had a first successful meeting in June 2017 in Ipswich- and meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The group provides parents and carers of Trans* children with the opportunity to meet together, access peer support and share common issues and concerns that will assist them in supporting their Trans* child.

To support the attendance of parents or carers – Trans* children & siblings under 18  are able to come along – to make new friends, take part in activities, talk about things important to them and have fun without having to hide their true identity.

We commissioned an outside organisation to undertake an evaluation of the Trans* Families project – you can read the report below
