LGBTQ+ Youth Volunteers

We are committed to the active participation and involvement of LGBT*Q+ young people in all areas of our work.

As a LGBT*Q+ Youth Volunteers you can get involved in a number opportunities either regularly or on an as and when basis.

Our LGBT*Q+ Youth Volunteering is open to anyone aged up to 25 years.

LGBT*Q+ Peer Educators – become involved in our work with young people in schools by working with us to design and deliver LGBT*Q+ awareness sessions, Anti-Homophobia, Bi-phobia, Transphobia workshops to young people in schools, colleges and other youth settings

LGBT*Q+ Young Trainers – become involved in designing and delivering our LGBT*Q+ Youth Awareness training for professionals who work with young people.

LGBT*Q+ Young Campaigners – we can work with you to develop and run local campaigns around a specific issues, or we can support national and international campaigns.

Who can be a LGBT*Q+ Youth Volunteer?

To be a LGBT*Q+ Youth Volunteer you must be between the ages of 16 and 25 and identify as either Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer or Questioning your sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

How long do I have to volunteer for?

Our LGBT*Q+ Youth Volunteering is completely flexible. You can either volunteer on a regular basis for several months or just get involved in a one- off event or activity. It’s up to you how much time you commit.

What support is available to LGBT*Q+ Youth Volunteers?

All volunteers receive an induction and/or training to prepare you for your volunteer role.
Outreach youth will pay for your travel and in some cases lunch expenses when you are volunteering, depending on adequate funding being available.
All volunteers can access one to one support at any stage.
