LGBT*Q+ Awareness

Working with Gender Diverse Young People

Outreach youth can help develop your systems and incorporate up-to-date evidence based practice that will allow you to reach your potential in supporting young LGBT*Q+ people.

This may be looking at your approach to engaging young LGBT*Q+ people, understanding the current issues facing them in Suffolk or a conversational workshop.

Facilitated Groups for Young People

LGBT*Q+ Awareness

Our LGBT*Q+ Awareness session, is a conversational workshop, co-produced with young LGBT*Q+ people. That supports young people to explore LGBT*Q+ identities and better understand their LGBT*Q+ peers experiences.

Being an LGBT*Q+ Ally

This session, co-produced with young LGBT*Q+ people, highlight the key issues faced by the young LGBT*Q+ people. Using age-appropriate language, they empower young people to become informed allies and supportive peers.

LGBT*Q+ History

This session, offer young people the opportunity to develop knowledge of key historic LGBT*Q+ figures, and their impact on society. How LGBTQ+ people have fought for rights, in the UK and abroad and the importance of Pride to LGBT*Q+ people

LGBT*Q+ Groups in School

We work with schools and colleges to establish LGBT*Q+ groups which can give young LGBT*Q+ people the safe space and peer support they need, helping them feel supported, accepted and included.

This course was very beneficial. It was interesting & relevant to my caseload. Helpful to explore some common misconceptions & terms preferred by transgender people, rather than hoping to get it right – thank you

Think everyone should do this training, really helpful resource.

Amazing training, delivered in a relaxed and informative way, this will really help my work with families.

Made me take time to stop and think about my own learning and also when thinking about people I support.

I felt very comfortable to ask questions and not worry if I got wording wrong. Trainers very open about own lives & experiences.
