A Celebration of Community and Creativity
We had the pleasure of hosting “An Evening with Outreach youth,” a special event co-produced with young LGBTQ+ people who are actively involved in our projects during October.
The evening was a vibrant celebration of talent, connection, and the impact of our charity’s work.
The event was opened by Kiaran and Heidi, one of our trustees, who welcomed everyone with warm words of gratitude and encouragement.
We were then moved by Grey, who performed a beautiful song dedicated to their sister, followed by Ezra, who spoke about how Outreach youth has profoundly supported them as a neurodiverse individual. George shared two powerful spoken word pieces, showcasing the strength and creativity of young people in the community.
Next, Joe, a parent, gave a heartfelt account of their experience watching their child transform through their involvement with Outreach youth—from a place of anxiety to one of excitement and confidence. They shared how their child has made lasting friendships and flourished in our welcoming environment.
Our CEO, Andy, then presented our annual review, accompanied by feedback shared via pizza boxes from attendees, highlighting what makes our work so meaningful.
The night ended with light refreshments and the fabulous Ginni Tonix, a drag queen, who hosted a fun-filled Drag Bingo session, leaving everyone in high spirits.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in making this evening so special. Your presence and energy made it an unforgettable celebration of inclusivity and creativity!
