Suffolk Police & Crime Commissioner, Tim Passmore, visited the Outreach youth LGBT*Q+ youth group on Friday 8th March 2019.

Tim spoke to the young people, both in the large welcome group session and in a smaller group discussion about his role, the Suffolk policing plan and how Suffolk Police are keen to ensure that the engage and serve all communities across Suffolk.

Among the subjects discussed were

  • hate crime
  • young people and their confidence to report incidents to the Police
  • how to report incidents
  • building relationships with local Safer Neighbourhood Teams and Engagement staff
  • how Outreach youth can be a resource for the police if they are having contact with young LGBT*Q+ people

Thanks to Tim for coming along and sharing more about his role and Suffolk Police – we look forward to developing ideas that came from his visit.
